SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Chester L. Kaiser of Springfield, who passed away on September 23, 2008; and

WHEREAS, Chester L. Kaiser was employed by the Central Illinois Public Service Company for 33 years before retiring in 2004; and

WHEREAS, Chester L. Kaiser enjoyed fishing, playing pool, and woodworking; he also made hundreds of fishing lures and gave them to his family and friends; he was a loyal fan and friend of Tim Wilkerson, a local funny car race driver; and

WHEREAS, Chester L. Kaiser was preceded in death by his parents and his dearly beloved brother, Eddie Ray Kaiser; and

WHEREAS, Chester L. Kaiser is survived by his wife, Millie; his son, Kent (wife, Carol) Kaiser; his step-daughter, Donna (husband, John) Pieper; his sisters, Kathryn Mueller and Patsy Hardy; his granddaughter, Deborah (husband, Michael) Johnson; his grandson, David (wife, Nicole) Pieper; his great-grandchildren, Elliott, Colin, Noah, Dalton, and Madelyn; and his several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and

WHEREAS, Chester L. Kaiser will be remembered by all who knew and loved him for his great love for the Lord and for his country; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Chester L. Kaiser; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Chester L. Kaiser as an expression of our sympathy.
