SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John M. Dorgan; and

WHEREAS, John M. Dorgan was a retired supervisor and 37 year employee of the Western Electric Hawthorne Works; he was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America; and

WHEREAS, John M. Dorgan was the beloved husband of the late Ellen A., nee O'Reilly; the loving father of Denis M., Thomas D. (Kathleen), Deidre E. (Thomas) Collins, Marigrace (James) Clark, and John M. "Jack" (Kristin); the dearest grandfather of Sean, Erin, Meaghan, John, Kevin, Sheila, Maura, Kayla Ellen, Grace, and Elizabeth; the son of the late Michael and Lucy, nee Norris; the loving brother of the late Grace (the late Pat) Roche; the brother-in-law of Elizabeth (Donald P.) Devine and the late Charles, (the late Mary T.) O'Reilly; and the dear uncle of the Roche and O'Reilly families; and

WHEREAS, John M. Dorgan's love of life and ability to live it to the fullest endeared him to his family members, friends, and all who knew him, and enabled him to enrich their lives in ways they will never forget; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of John M. Dorgan; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John M. Dorgan as an expression of our sympathy.
