SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Joanne L. (Krynski) Karlstad of Bolingbrook, formerly of Romeoville, Cicero, and San Francisco, California, who passed away on July 30, 2008; and

WHEREAS, Joanne Karlstad was an interviewer for the United States Census Bureau for 23 years, retiring in 1995; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald M. Karlstad; her parents, Stanley and Anna (nee Herold) Krynski; and her brother, Larry Krynski; and

WHEREAS, She was the loving mother of Karen (Phillip) Gonzalez, Michael (Alice) Karlstad, and Laurie (David) Arellano; the dear grandmother of Krystal, Bryan, Carolyn, Keith, Eric, and Adam; and the great-grandmother of Alexia Joanne; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Joanne Karlstad; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Joanne Karlstad as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
