SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Debra Anne Jackson, who passed away on July 17, 2008; and

WHEREAS, Debra Anne Jackson was born on April 11, 1958 in Chicago; her parents were George and Angeline Jackson; and

WHEREAS, Debra Anne Jackson attended St. Anne Grammar School, Unity High School, and Loop Junior College; and

WHEREAS, Debra Anne Jackson was employed at the Dawson Technical College as an adult educator, the UIC Eye Institute as a receptionist, and at Evanston Hospital as a companion to patients; and

WHEREAS, Debra Anne Jackson was preceded in death by her father, George Jackson Sr., and her sister, Emma Lee; and

WHEREAS, Debra Anne Jackson is survived by her loving mother, Angeline; her children, Nataki Rose and Naeem Prentiss Jackson; her grandson, Travis Castleberry; her brothers, George Jackson (Leslie) and Prentiss Jackson (Cynthia); her sisters, Delores Jackson Wolfley, Rosemary Jackson Lawson (William), Angela Jackson, Sharon Jackson Sanders, Betty Jackson Uzell (Thomas), and Margaret Jackson Stewart; her uncle, Charlie Jackson; her aunt, Emma B. Moore; and her many relatives and friends; and

WHEREAS, Debra Anne Jackson will be remembered by all who knew and loved her as a gentle, loving, intelligent, and beautiful woman whose love for her family was unmatched; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Debra Anne Jackson; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Debra Anne Jackson as an expression of our sympathy.
