SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Reverend Duane Edward Heap, who passed away on July 14, 2008; and

WHEREAS, Reverend Duane Heap was born on December 4, 1924 in Joliet; his parents were Otto and Ruth Heap; he married Pat Buster in 1949; and

WHEREAS, Reverend Duane Heap served for 46 years as a Presbyterian pastor at churches in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, and Illinois until his retirement in 1991; and

WHEREAS, Reverend Duane Heap was preceded in death by his daughter, Janet Lynn; his parents; his sister, Barbara; and his brother, William; and

WHEREAS, Reverend Duane Heap is survived by his wife, Pat; his children, David and his wife, Jeri, Mark and his wife, Tari, Robert and his wife, Jane, Scott, and Nancy and her husband, Doug; his nine grandchildren; and his sisters, Alfredda and Norma; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Reverend Duane Edward Heap; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Reverend Duane Heap as an expression of our sympathy.
