SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jeannette Filipiak, nee Orlowski, of Woodridge, who passed away on January 28, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Jeannette Filipiak was a resident of Woodridge for 36 years; she worked at Vaughn Seed Company in Downers Grove for many years prior to working for Purple Heart Pickup Service, where she retired; and

WHEREAS, She enjoyed playing cards, baking, sewing, knitting, shopping, sightseeing, and being with her family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Jeannette Filipiak was preceded in death by her brothers, Dennis, Gene, and Floyd Orlowski; and

WHEREAS, Jeannette Filipiak is survived by her husband of 54 years, Ray; her daughters, Doreen (Tim) Marvin, Laurie, Melanie (Tom) Ewald, Brenda (Mike) Grecco, and Denise Goers; her sons, Bruce, Craig (Judi), and Mark; and her twelve grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Jeannette Filipiak; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jeannette Filipiak as a symbol of our sympathy.
