SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Timothy Joseph Wehrli of Naperville, who
4 passed away on June 17, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Timothy Wehrli was born on August 23, 1961; his
6 parents were John "Harp" and Virginia "Ginny" Wehrli; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Timothy Wehrli was a graduate of Naperville North
8 High School, graduating with the Class of 1979; he graduated
9 from the University of Illinois (Urbana-Champaign) in 1983 with
10 a degree in architecture; and
 
11     WHEREAS, Timothy Wehrli was employed at Packer Engineering
12 Labs from age 13 to age 24; after earning his college degree,
13 he was hired as an intern at Matocha Associates, working there
14 for nine years before branching out on his own; in 1995, he
15 formed his own firm, Wehrli Associates Architects, in
16 Naperville; and
 
17     WHEREAS, When he wasn't coming up with innovative designs
18 for new houses and additions, Timothy Wehrli enjoyed spending
19 time with his family and friends, reading, taking relaxing
20 vacations in Door County, and sailing, among other activities;
21 and

1     WHEREAS, Timothy Wehrli was preceded in death by his mother
2 and his brother, Christopher Wehrli; and
 
3     WHEREAS, Timothy Wehrli is survived by his daughter,
4 Kathleen "Katie" Lorge, and her mother, Rosemary Smetana; his
5 father; his brothers, Steve (Pat) Wehrli, Dan Wehrli, John
6 (Patty), and Peter Wehrli; his sister, Lisa (Jeff)
7 Wehrli-Gunther; his nine nieces and nephews; and his many
8 loving friends; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Timothy Wehrli will be remembered by all who knew
10 and loved him as an intelligent and giving man who was always
11 willing to offer advice and be a listening ear; his loving
12 family will remembered him as a supportive and loving father
13 who was devoted in every way to his daughter; therefore, be it
 
14     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
15 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
16 his family and friends, the passing of Timothy Wehrli; and be
17 it further
 
18     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19 presented to the family of Timothy Wehrli as an expression of
20 our sympathy.
