SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of James Johannville of Naperville, who
4 passed away on June 19, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, He was born on June 28, 1932 in Naperville; Jim
6 was a graduate of SS Peter and Paul Grade School and Naperville
7 High School; Jim was an all conference basketball and football
8 player; and
 
9     WHEREAS, James Johannville served his country in the United
10 States Air Force; he retired from the Reactor Physics Division
11 of Argonne National Laboratory and then took over his father's
12 upholstery business, Johannville Upholstery in Naperville; and
 
13     WHEREAS, A passionate golfer, Jim enjoyed playing many
14 great courses throughout the country, from goat ranches to
15 Pebble Beach; and
 
16     WHEREAS, He was preceded in death in 1997 by his loving
17 wife of 45 years, Jo Ann Johannville; his parents, Frank and
18 Hilda (Haidu) Johannville; his sister, Elaine Becker, and
19 brother-in-law, Robert Becker; his twin sister, Joyce Neyra;
20 and his brother, Ray Johannville, and sister-in-law, Charlotte
21 Johannville; and

1     WHEREAS, James Johannville is survived by his daughters,
2 Debra L. (George Simpson) Burns Simpson and Sandra (David Foy)
3 Johannville; his grandson, Jimmy Simpson; his twin
4 granddaughters, Ava and Alexis Foy; his aunt, Alma Haidu; his
5 brother-in-law, Henry Neyra; his companion, Lois Yeates; his
6 lifelong friends and golfing buddies; and many nieces and
7 nephews; therefore, be it
 
8     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
9 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
10 his family and friends, the passing of James Johannville; and
11 be it further
 
12     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13 presented to the family of James Johannville as a symbol of our
14 sincere sympathy.
