SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Randy Whittington of Sesser, who passed away on May 21, 2008; and

WHEREAS, Randy Whittington was born on April 30, 1955 in Benton; he was the son of John and Earlene (Odom) Whittington; he married Judy Dame on December 20, 1975 in Benton; and

WHEREAS, Randy Whittington and his wife were the owners and operators of Randy Whittington Trucking in Sesser; and

WHEREAS, Randy Whittington was a member of the First Church of the Nazarene in Benton; and

WHEREAS, Randy Whittington was preceded in death by his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Norma and Lowell Dame; and

WHEREAS, Randy Whittington is survived by his wife, Judy Whittington; his sons, Brian Whittington and wife, Alisha "Ali", and Brandon Whittington; his parents, John and Earlene Whittington; his brothers and sisters, Doris Cook and husband, Gary, Joy Habeeb and husband, Habeeb, Jan Myers and husband, Steve, Kevin Whittington and wife, Sharyl, Jeff Whittington and wife, Tana, and Ron Whittington and wife, Denise; his brothers-in-law, Jim Dame and wife, Jodie, and Jerry Dame and wife, Joyce; and his several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Randy Whittington; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Randy Whittington as an expression of our sympathy.
