SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lucas Parker Boente of Carlinville, who passed away on May 13, 2008; and

WHEREAS, Lucas Boente was born January 27, 1986, in Litchfield, the first child of Greg P. and Regina "Tink" (Goodman) Boente; and

WHEREAS, Luke had been in the maintenance and propane division of J.F. Boente & Sons in Carlinville since he was 15 years old; and

WHEREAS, He loved spending time with his family and friends and being a big brother to his sisters; Luke's hobbies included goose hunting, bass fishing, golfing, and spending time outdoors; and

WHEREAS, Luke was a Class of 2004 graduate of Carlinville High School, and had attended Lewis & Clark Community College and Blackburn College, where he played golf; and

WHEREAS, Surviving family members are his parents, Greg and Tink Boente; his sisters, Brooke and Lauren "Nikki" Boente; his grandparents, Gene and Jan Goodman and Larry and Shirley Boente; his great-grandmother, Eula Ornellas; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and Duke; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Lucas Parker Boente; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lucas Parker Boente as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
