SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Mary Jane Buddig of Burr Ridge, who passed away on May 6, 2008; and

WHEREAS, She was born in Chicago on August 29, 1927; she grew up in Beverly, graduated from Morgan Park High School, and received her Bachelors degree from DePauw University where she met her husband; and

WHEREAS, She loved spending time with her kids and grandkids on Indian Lake in Dowagiac, Michigan, where she spent her childhood summers with her parents and brothers; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C.; and her brothers, David and Robert Brittain; and

WHEREAS, She was the loving and devoted mother of Tom (Lex), Karen (Mike) Noble, Robert (Mary), Tim (Heidi), and Roger (Barbara); and the fond grandmother of 13 grandchildren, Katherine, Elizabeth, James, Sarah, Jennifer, Harris, Erin, Benjamin, Margaret, Hannah, Robert, Carl, and Samantha; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Mary Jane Buddig; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Mary Jane Buddig as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
