SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of William "Bill" J. Anderson of
4 Springfield, who passed away on April 19, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, William Anderson was born on September 18, 1964,
6 in Elmhurst to the Reverend John W. and Janice E. Anderson; and
 
7     WHEREAS, In 1982, Bill graduated from Carthage College and
8 moved to Springfield; he owned Anderson Legislative
9 Consulting, a government consulting firm; he began his career
10 in politics as a legislative staffer for House Speaker Michael
11 Madigan; and
 
12     WHEREAS, Bill met and married co-worker Letitia Dewith;
13 their marriage was rooted in their faith, their family, and
14 their deep friendship; they prayed together, they worked
15 together, they laughed together, and they raised two wonderful
16 children: Taylor K. and Allison Fritz; and
 
17     WHEREAS, Bill always looked on the bright side of life and
18 had an infectious positive attitude; he warmly and openly gave
19 comfort, inspiration, and advice and was quick to be of
20 assistance to anyone in need; and

1     WHEREAS, The passing of Bill Anderson will be deeply felt
2 by those he leaves behind; his parents; his wife; his children;
3 his sister, Sara Schmitt; his paternal grandmother, Marjorie
4 Ruth Anderson; more than 60 nephews and nieces, many of whom he
5 helped to raise; his mother-in-law, Juanita S. Barton; and the
6 many people whose lives he touched; therefore, be it
 
7     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
8 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
9 his many friends and family members, the passing of William
10 "Bill" Anderson; and be it further
 
11     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12 presented to the family of William "Bill" Anderson as a symbol
13 of our sincere sympathy.
