SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William "Bill" J. Anderson of Springfield, who passed away on April 19, 2008; and

WHEREAS, William Anderson was born on September 18, 1964, in Elmhurst to the Reverend John W. and Janice E. Anderson; and

WHEREAS, In 1982, Bill graduated from Carthage College and moved to Springfield; he owned Anderson Legislative Consulting, a government consulting firm; he began his career in politics as a legislative staffer for House Speaker Michael Madigan; and

WHEREAS, Bill met and married co-worker Letitia Dewith; their marriage was rooted in their faith, their family, and their deep friendship; they prayed together, they worked together, they laughed together, and they raised two wonderful children: Taylor K. and Allison Fritz; and

WHEREAS, Bill always looked on the bright side of life and had an infectious positive attitude; he warmly and openly gave comfort, inspiration, and advice and was quick to be of assistance to anyone in need; and

WHEREAS, The passing of Bill Anderson will be deeply felt by those he leaves behind; his parents; his wife; his children; his sister, Sara Schmitt; his paternal grandmother, Marjorie Ruth Anderson; more than 60 nephews and nieces, many of whom he helped to raise; his mother-in-law, Juanita S. Barton; and the many people whose lives he touched; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his many friends and family members, the passing of William "Bill" Anderson; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of William "Bill" Anderson as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
