SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Richard McHugh of Joliet, who passed away on April 11, 2008; and

WHEREAS, Richard McHugh was a member of the Irish American Society of Will County, Holy Name Society, Men of St. Joseph's, and Holy Trinity Council of the Knights of Columbus (4400); he was the Director of the Will-South Cook Soil and Water Conservation District; and he was a proud alumnus of the University of Notre Dame (1942); and

WHEREAS, Richard E. McHugh was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas E. and Agnes McHugh, his wife of 59 years, Florence L. (nee Blackburn) McHugh, his brother, Franklin (Blanche) McHugh, and his sister, Monica (Ed) Rygel; and

WHEREAS, Richard McHugh is survived by his four children; Richard (Barbara), Michael (Mary), Terrence (Joan), and Brien (Kathy); his fourteen grandchildren; his eight great grandchildren; and his numerous nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Richard McHugh; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Richard McHugh as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
