SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Don "Frog" Eubanks of Benton, who passed away on February 3, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Eubanks was born June 9, 1935, in Rend City, the son of Fay Eubanks and Helen (Fletcher) Eubanks; he married the former Linda Mason on July 19, 1955; and

WHEREAS, Mr. Eubanks was a retired Illinois State Police Trooper, serving for 27 years, and received the medal of valor award for his dedicated service; and

WHEREAS, Don Eubanks was a member of the Fraternal Order of the State Police, and Immanuel Baptist Church in Benton; and

WHEREAS, Don Eubanks loved sports, hunting, camping, and fishing; he was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Benton Ranger fan, and he also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Don Eubanks is survived by his wife, Linda Eubanks; his daughter, Debbie Clay; his sons, Ronald Eubanks and Doug Eubanks; his grandchildren, Carmen Rash, Alan Clay, Ryan Eubanks, Daniel Eubanks, and Nicole Lynn Eubanks; his great-granddaughter, Aubrey Rash; his brothers, Wendell Eubanks and Larry Eubanks; and his many nieces and nephews; Mr. Eubanks was preceded in death by his parents; and a grandson, David Clay; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Don "Frog" Eubanks; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Don Eubanks as a symbol of our sympathy.
