SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the recent passing of Kathleen T. Crehan, nee Cavanaugh, of Lemont; and

WHEREAS, She was born in Chicago on February 19, 1940; and

WHEREAS, She was married to Martin Crehan for 46 years; and

WHEREAS, She was a Child Care Technician for St. Vincent's Orphanage of Chicago for many years, taking care of children from newborn to three years of age; she was a counselor to many student nurses and a friend to many lonely mothers; through the years she saw many babies go on to new homes and families; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Nora Cavanaugh; and

WHEREAS, Kathleen Crehan was the loving wife of Martin; the devoted mother of Sheila (Mike Manz), Brian (Debbie), Maureen (Roger) Linde, Kathleen (Jim) Collins, Brenda (Adrian) McVeigh, and Michael (Jelene); the cherished grandmother of Brian, Bridget, Kevin, Maggie, Nora, Brendan, Daniel, and Megan; the dear sister of Mamie (Jay) Griffin, Dan (Kay), Mike (Terry), and John (Edie); and the fond aunt of many and a great-friend to all; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Kathleen T. Crehan; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Kathleen T. Crehan as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
