SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of United States Naval Academy Midshipman Second Class Anthony J. Valliere of Palatine, who passed away on January 26, 2008; and

WHEREAS, Anthony J. Valliere was born on November 3, 1986 in Norfolk, Virginia; and

WHEREAS, Anthony J. Valliere was a 2005 graduate of Fremd High School in Palatine, where he was known as an outstanding student who participated in football, baseball, soccer, and the marching band; and

WHEREAS, Anthony J. Valliere was completing his third year at the United States Naval Academy; he aspired to become an officer in the United States Marine Corps; and

WHEREAS, Anthony J. Valliere was an Eagle Scout who was always looking to help others and the community at large; and

WHEREAS, Anthony J. Valliere is the beloved son of Captain Claude, U.S. Navy, and Pamela; the loving brother of Benedict, Christine, and Monique; the dear grandson of Alice Valliere and Nicola Russo; and the dear step-grandson of Clifford Peterson; he is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Anthony J. Valliere; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Anthony J. Valliere as an expression of our sympathy.
