SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Betty Gorndt Cameron, who passed away on November 13, 2006; and

WHEREAS, Betty Gorndt Cameron was born on January 28, 1927; she was the daughter of Bob and Mary Gorndt; and

WHEREAS, Betty Gorndt Cameron attended St. Petronille's Catholic School; she graduated from Glenbard West High School in 1945 and from Drake University in 1950; she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority; and

WHEREAS, Betty Gorndt Cameron served as a faithful employee of the Illinois Toll Highway Authority for 25 years; and

WHEREAS, Betty Gorndt Cameron was a concert soprano vocalist; she was a Minister of Care for the Joliet Diocese; and

WHEREAS, Betty Gorndt Cameron was the loving mother of Bob and Tom and the loving sister of Jeannie and Judy; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Betty Gorndt Cameron; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Betty Gorndt Cameron as an expression of our sympathy.
