SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Dorothy E. St. Peters of Alton, who
4 passed away on January 3, 2008; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Dorothy St. Peters was born on January 21, 1917,
6 in Jersey County; her parents were Daniel and Ellen (Coleman)
7 Collins; she married Donald A. St. Peters on June 11, 1936 in
8 Alton; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Dorothy St. Peters was a member of St. Peter &
10 Paul Catholic Church in Alton and chairman of the board of St.
11 Peters Hardware; she was a past president of the Ladies Club of
12 Marquette High School, the Ladies Club at Lockhaven Country
13 Club, and the St. Ambrose Altar Society; and
 
14     WHEREAS, Dorothy St. Peters was preceded in death by her
15 husband; her parents; her brothers, Lawrence and Leo Collins;
16 and her sisters, Theresa Stone and Rosetta LaGesse; and
 
17     WHEREAS, Dorothy St. Peters is survived by her children,
18 Donald St. Peters and his wife, Gerry, Darlene Watts and her
19 husband, Rick, Dale St. Peters and his wife, Nancy, Denise St.
20 Peters, Doug St. Peters and his wife, Jackie, and Danelle St.
21 Peters; her grandchildren, Donald St. Peters, Jeff St. Peters,

1 Steve St. Peters, Doug St. Peters, Greg Watts, Brian Watts, Ken
2 Watts, Julia Kercher, Kathryn Snider, Glenn Watts, Daniel St.

4 Courtney St. Peters, and Megan St. Peters; her 32
5 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Bernice Kerwin;
6 therefore, be it
 
7     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
8 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
9 her family and friends, the passing of Dorothy St. Peters; and
10 be it further
 
11     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12 presented to the family of Dorothy St. Peters as an expression
13 of our sympathy.
