SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Josephine B. Werenski of North Chicago, who passed away on November 14, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Josephine B. Werenski was born on March 19, 1929 in North Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Josephine B. Werenski was a homemaker who loved to knit and crochet; she loved to make pierogi and could always be counted on to make paczki for her friends, neighbors, and relatives on "Fat Tuesday" before Lent; and

WHEREAS, Josephine B. Werenski was a member of The North Chicago American Legion Post #397; and

WHEREAS, Josephine B. Werenski was preceded in death by her husband, Emil; her brother, Anthony; and her sisters, Stella, Frances, and Lillian; and

WHEREAS, Josephine B. Werenski is survived by her daughters, Joan Peters and Kathy Deram-Clark; her grandchildren, Anne (Tade) Gerischer, Jennifer (Carlos) Martinez, Sarah (Luis) Delgado, John Deram, Eric Deram, and Tony Deram; her great-grandchildren, Adriana Martinez, Emma Martinez, Tade Gerischer, Isabel Delgado, and Antonio Delgado; and her brother, Walter; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Josephine B. Werenski; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Josephine B. Werenski as an expression of our sympathy.
