SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Helen L. Boak of North Chicago, who passed away on November 4, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Helen L. Boak was born October 3, 1921 in North Chicago; along with her husband, Joseph, she owned and operated Boak's 22nd Street Hardware in North Chicago until her retirement in the early 1970s; and

WHEREAS, Helen Boak had been a member of Holy Rosary Church and the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary; her hobby was going to estate sales; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph in 1977; one son, Robert in 2003; and several brothers; and

WHEREAS, Helen L. Boak is survived by her son, Lawrence Boak; her niece, Betty (Walter) Sczygielski; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Helen L. Boak; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Helen L. Boak as a symbol of our sympathy.
