SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Margaret A. Woodside of Springfield, who passed away on October 27, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Margaret Woodside was born on June 24, 1930 in Springfield; her parents were Elmer Sr. and Alice McGuire Townsend; and

WHEREAS, She married Oliver "Gene" Woodside on January 25, 1948; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver "Gene" Woodside; her brothers, Robert and Bernard Townsend; and her sisters, Mary Eleanor Thompson and Alice Reid; and

WHEREAS, Margaret Woodside is survived by her children, Richard (Robin) Woodside, Joseph (Katherine) Woodside, David (Heather) Woodside, Judy Belknap, Louise Knox, Linda Anderson, and Jean Ann Woodside; her thirteen grandchildren; her six great-grandchildren; her sister, Barbara Dorr; and her brothers, Elmer (Laura) Townsend, and Don (Becky) Townsend; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Margaret A. Woodside; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Margaret A. Woodside as a symbol of our sympathy.
