SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Mary Ann Lindsey of Herrin, who passed
4 away on August 19, 2007; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Mary Ann Lindsey was born on June 6, 1940 in
6 Carterville; her parents were Jack D. and Ivy (Rae) Young; she
7 married Bart Ray Lindsey on August 17, 1962, in Carterville;
8 and
 
9     WHEREAS, Mary Ann Lindsey was a Carterville High School
10 graduate, where she was crowned homecoming queen in 1958; she
11 was a homemaker and a member of Carterville First Presbyterian
12 Church; she was an avid bowler and loved gambling at the
13 riverboat with her sister; and
 
14     WHEREAS, Mary Ann Lindsey was preceded in death by her
15 parents; her brother, John Young; and two sets of twin
16 siblings; and
 
17     WHEREAS, Mary Ann Lindsey is survived by her husband, Bart
18 Lindsey; her daughter, Debbie Kenny and husband, Howard; her
19 son, Darren Lindsey and wife, Nancy; her grandchildren, Zackery
20 Lindsey, Charlie Bart Howard, and Kenna K. Howard; her sisters
21 and their spouses, Nanette and Franklin Green, Jackie and Sam

1 Woods, Robbie Mezo, Tammy and Mark Winter, Kathy McCabe, and
2 Leann and David Rose; her sister-in-law, Dolores and Peanuts
3 McConnell; her brother-in-law, Brad and Samara Lindsey; and her
4 several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
5     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
6 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
7 her family and friends, the passing of Mary Ann Lindsey; and be
8 it further
 
9     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10 presented to the family of Mary Ann Lindsey as an expression of
11 our sympathy.
