SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William Lyons of Hanna City, who passed away on August 8, 2007; and

WHEREAS, William Lyons was born on April 8, 1930, in Harrisburg; his parents were Earl H. and Rosa E. Alexander Lyons; he married Mary Belle Harrison on November 30, 1952; and

WHEREAS, William Lyons worked at Caterpillar Inc. in East Peoria for 33 years, retiring as a storage control clerk in 1980; and

WHEREAS, William Lyons was an active member of the Eagles Lodge and American Legion Post 979 in Bartonville; and

WHEREAS, William Lyons was preceded in death by his sister, Mildred Putman; and his brothers, Marvin, Joe, and Frank Lyons; and

WHEREAS, William Lyons is survived by his sons, Kevin Lyons and Cal (Joni) Lyons; his grandchildren, Callie (David) Jayne, Cara (Joel) Fulkerson, and Julie Lyons; his great-granddaughter, Audrey Claire Jayne; his brother, Kenneth Lyons; and his sister, Mary Lois (Carl) Harrison of East Peoria; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of William Lyons; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of William Lyons as an expression of our sympathy.
