SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Earl Struck of Springfield, who passed away on August 7, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Earl Struck was born on September 30, 1943, in Murphysboro; he is the son of William John and Goldia Wayman Struck; he married Sherry Winn on July 9, 1976, in Normal; and

WHEREAS, Earl Struck graduated from Eastern Illinois University with a bachelor's degree in Business Administration; and

WHEREAS, Earl Struck was president and chief executive officer of the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives; he was a former manager of the Kane County Farm Bureau and of the Washington County Farm Bureau from 1967 to 1974; and he was a former Assistant Director of Legislation of the Illinois Farm Bureau; and

WHEREAS, Earl Struck served on the Governor's Commission to Study Property Tax Reform and on the Blue Ribbon Commission to Study Elementary and Secondary Public Education Finance; and

WHEREAS, Earl Struck was a member of the Shriners and a member of the Masonic Lodge; and

WHEREAS, Earl Struck was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Earl Struck is survived by his wife; his daughter, Amy (Mark) Kluemke; his sons, William Struck and Brad Winn; his grandchildren, Drew Kluemke, Anna Kluemke, Leah Kluemke, Peyton Struck, and Allison Struck; his brother, William (Kathy) Struck; his mother-in-law, Irene Fonger; his sister-in-law, Marilyn (David) Walker; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Earl Struck; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Earl Struck as an expression of our sympathy.
