SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of M. Ethelind Hohf of Waukegan, who passed away on February 24, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Ehtelind Hohf was born on October 2, 1912 in Menno, South Dakota; and

WHEREAS, Ethelind Hohf was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Waukegan; she retired as a teacher from North Chicago High School, where she was the director of the office occupations program and taught typing, bookkeeping, shorthand, and business; she also taught school at Palatine and Deerfield High Schools; and

WHEREAS, Ethelind Hohf enjoyed playing cards, ballroom dancing, and bowling; and

WHEREAS, She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Arnold Hohf; her four sisters, and her two brothers; and

WHEREAS, Ethelind Hohf is survived by her children, Elleen (Michael) McFadden, and Michael (Vicki); her grandchildren, Patrick (Melodie) McFadden, Kimberly (Derek) Edwards, David and Alexandra; and her four great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of M. Ethelind Hohf; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of M. Ethelind Hohf as a symbol of our sympathy.
