SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Marion E. Dixson (nee Vioski) of
4 Waukegan, who passed away on March 26, 2007; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Marion E. Dixson was born on April 10, 1933; her
6 parents were Tunie and John Vioski; she was a lifelong resident
7 of Waukegan; and
 
8     WHEREAS, Marion E. Dixson was an active member of the St.
9 Dismas Women's Club, the U.S. Steel Retiree Club, AARP, Nor
10 Star Bank Ambassador Club, and she participated in activities
11 at the Waukegan Township Senior Center; and
 
12     WHEREAS, Marion E. Dixson loved to travel, go to casinos,
13 and spend as much time as possible with her family; she enjoyed
14 meeting with her friends for breakfast on Wednesdays and lunch
15 with her Holy Child Alumni; she will be missed by her many
16 friends; and
 
17     WHEREAS, Marion E. Dixson was preceded in death by her
18 parents; her brother, John William Vioski; and her sister,
19 Isabelle Kick; and
 
20     WHEREAS, Marion E. Dixson was the loving wife of Larry

1 Dixson for 55 years; she was the mother of three children,
2 Deborah A. (Steven) Dunlap, Donna J. (David) Bell, and Daniel
3 L. (Wendy) Dixson; she had six grandchildren and five
4 great-grandchildren; she is also survived by her brother,
5 Joseph Vioski; and her sister, Evelyn Riley; therefore, be it
 
6     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
7 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with
8 her family and friends, the passing of Marion E. Dixson; and be
9 it further
 
10     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11 presented to the family of Marion E. Dixson as an expression of
12 our sympathy.
