SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate wish to express their sincere condolences to the family and friends of Kenneth E. McNeal of Freeman Spur, who passed away on January 2, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth McNeal was retired and enjoyed hunting, fishing and gambling; he retired after 30 years in the furniture business; he enjoyed life to the fullest and wanted to be remembered as happy and healthy by his friends and peers; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth McNeal was born October 23, 1943 in Zeigler, the son of Albert and Bonnie (Kelly) McNeal; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth McNeal was in the United States Army from 1965 to 1967 and served in Germany; he was also a member of the American Legion and Eagles; he was a great dad and friend, a relentless teacher of life lessons, and had a genuine love for people; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Janice Vancie; and

WHEREAS, Kenneth E. McNeal is survived by his son, Kenny McNeal II; his daughter and son-in-law, Kimmy (McNeal) Moody and her husband, Gary; his ex-wife and best friend, Frankie (McNeal) Miller; his sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda Clark (Larry), Geneva Starnes (Ron Noble), and Brenda Lence (Bob); his brother and sister-in-law, John McNeal (Barbara); his godson Jamie Miller; his many nieces, nephews and cousins; his great friends Jim Miller, Pat and Linda Benton, Dennis Falmier, J.D. Barter and Jerry Reach, who was also a great hunting and fishing friend for over 30 years; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the death of Kenneth McNeal; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Kenneth McNeal as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
