SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Marshall Cash, who passed away on March
4 30, 2007; and
 
5     WHEREAS, Marshall Cash was born on December 23, 1927 in
6 Blytheville, Arkansas; his parents were Frank Cash and Estella
7 Robinson Cash; he married Vivian Bell on September 19, 1956;
8 and
 
9     WHEREAS, Marshall Cash moved with his family to Illinois,
10 where he attended Garrison School; he served in the United
11 States Army for many years and fought in World War II; he was a
12 butcher at Armour Packing for 15 years; after leaving the
13 packing house, he did construction until he became disabled; he
14 was a Sergeant of Arms for Ernest Smith Resident Council; he
15 was a dedicated member for three years; and he was an auxiliary
16 member of the Church Road Fire Department; and
 
17     WHEREAS, Marshall Cash was a well known person in his
18 community, who would help anyone that he could; and
 
19     WHEREAS, Marshall Cash was preceded in death by his
20 children, Patricia, Marshall, and Senora; his sister, Pearl;
21 and his brothers, Frank and John; and

1     WHEREAS, The passing of Marshall Cash is deeply felt by
2 many, especially his wife, Vivian Cash; his daughter, Mildred
3 Carpenter; his son, Ray (Laverne) Cash; his in-laws, George and
4 Lavonia Bell; a host of brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law;
5 fourteen grandchildren; 38 great grandchildren; two
6 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews,
7 cousins, and friends; therefore, be it
 
8     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL
9 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that that we mourn, along
10 with his family and friends, the passing of Marshall Cash; and
11 be it further
 
12     RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
13 presented to the family of Marshall Cash as an expression of
14 our sympathy.
