10 ILCS 5/19A-25

    Amends the Election Code. Requires that the published and posted schedule of early voting include the date, time, and location that the election authority will count and process early voting ballots.

1     AN ACT concerning elections.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The Election Code is amended by changing Section
5 19A-25 as follows:
 
6     (10 ILCS 5/19A-25)
7     Sec. 19A-25. Schedule of locations and times for early
8 voting.
9     (a) The election authority shall publish during the week
10 before the period for early voting and at least once each week
11 during the period for early voting in a newspaper of general
12 circulation in the election authority's jurisdiction a
13 schedule stating:
14         (1) the location of each permanent and temporary
15     polling place for early voting and the precincts served by
16     each location; and
17         (2) the dates and hours that early voting will be
18     conducted at each location; .
19         (3) the date, time, and location that the election
20     authority will count the early voting ballots; and
21         (4) the date, time, and location that the election
22     authority will process the early voting ballots.
23     (b) The election authority shall post a copy of the

1 schedule at any office or other location that is to be used as
2 a polling place for early voting. The schedule must be posted
3 continuously for a period beginning not later than the 5th day
4 before the first day of the period for early voting by personal
5 appearance and ending on the last day of that period.
6     (c) The election authority must make copies of the schedule
7 available to the public in reasonable quantities without charge
8 during the period of posting.
9     (d) If the election authority maintains a website, it shall
10 make the schedule available on its website.
11     (e) No additional polling places for early voting may be
12 established after the schedule is published under this Section.
