SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:
 
15 ILCS 405/30 new

    Amends the State Comptroller Act. Requires that the Comptroller post specified information about each State contract valued at more than $25,000 on his or her official website during the duration of the contract and for 3 years following the expiration of the contract, including any renewal periods. Effective July 1, 2008.

1     AN ACT concerning State government.
 
2     Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois,
3 represented in the General Assembly:
 
4     Section 5. The State Comptroller Act is amended by adding
5 Section 30 as follows:
 
6     (15 ILCS 405/30 new)
7     Sec. 30. Contract information disclosure. The Comptroller
8 must post on his or her official website the following
9 information with respect to each State contract with a value in
10 excess of $25,000 and must maintain the information on the
11 website for the duration of the contract and for 3 years
12 following the expiration of the contract, including any renewal
13 periods:
14         (1) The names of the contracting State entity and the
15     contractor.
16         (2) The purpose and duration of the contract, including
17     any renewal option.
18         (3) The total dollar value of the contract, including
19     any renewals.
20         (4) The procurement method of selection, such as
21     without limitation competitive sealed bid or request for
22     proposal.
23         (5) The names of the individuals who signed the

1     contract on behalf of the contracting State entity and the
2     contractor.
 
3     Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1,
4 2008.
