SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

20 ILCS 205/205-16 new

Amends the Department of Agriculture Law. Provides that the Department of Agriculture shall conduct a public information campaign for farmers on the protocols to be followed when a farmer encounters a suspected site in which methamphetamine is being manufactured. Effective July 1, 2007.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Department of Agriculture Law of the Civil Administrative Code of Illinois is amended by adding Section 205-16 as follows:

(20 ILCS 205/205-16 new)

Sec. 205-16. Public information to farmers on encountering methamphetamine manufacturing sites. The Department of Agriculture shall conduct a public information campaign for farmers on the protocols to be followed when a farmer encounters a suspected site in which methamphetamine is being manufactured.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect July 1, 2007.
