| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 |
| Representatives are pleased to congratulate Loren Brown on his | 4 |
| many accomplishments; and
| 5 |
| WHEREAS, Loren Brown was born on October 20, 1921 in rural | 6 |
| Cantrall to Albert Chandler and Marie Ahrenkiel Brown; and
| 7 |
| WHEREAS, Loren Brown worked as a mixed grain and livestock | 8 |
| farmer until his retirement on property near the land his | 9 |
| great-grandfather purchased in the 1850s; and
| 10 |
| WHEREAS, Loren Brown served on the Athens School Board, | 11 |
| including service as President, during the 1950s; he also | 12 |
| served as a Fancy Creek Township official for 26 years, serving | 13 |
| as a Township trustee and as Township Supervisor; and
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, Loren Brown served faithfully as the doorman for | 15 |
| the Illinois House of Representatives from March of 1999 until | 16 |
| May of 2001; and
| 17 |
| WHEREAS, Loren Brown joined the Sherman Methodist Church | 18 |
| after his marriage and has been active with the church in many | 19 |
| capacities; and |

| WHEREAS, Loren Brown married Lola Perkins of Sherman in | 2 |
| 1942; together, they raised 5 children, Myrna (Gareth) Golay, | 3 |
| Lyla (Don) Eggleston, Gary (Jill) Brown, Byron (Nancy) Brown, | 4 |
| and Craig (Donna) Brown; they have 4 grandchildren, Megan | 5 |
| (Marco) Rousonelos, Jeff Brown, Zach Brown, and Alex Brown, and | 6 |
| one great-grandson, Darek Rousonelos; therefore, be it
| 7 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 8 |
| NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | 9 |
| congratulate Loren Brown on his many accomplishments and wish | 10 |
| him continued success and happiness in the future; and be it | 11 |
| further
| 12 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 13 |
| presented to Loren Brown as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
