HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Guy Case on the occasion of winning a gold medal at the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games in Shanghai, China; and

WHEREAS, Guy Case competed in the bocce singles, doubles, and team competition as one of 30 bocce players on the 399-member Team USA; he received one of 3 gold medals awarded to Illinois athletes during the competition; and

WHEREAS, Guy Case has been a fierce competitor in the Special Olympics for his entire life, having competed at the first Special Olympics Games at Soldier Field in Chicago in 1968; and

WHEREAS, An open house will be held on November 10, 2007 at the Manteno Golf Course in Manteno in honor of Guy Case's achievement; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Guy Case on the occasion of winning a gold medal at the 2007 Special Olympics World Summer Games and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Guy Case as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
