HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Berlie Hoffstot on his over forty years of dedication to Royal Ranger Outpost 62 in Collinsville; and

WHEREAS, The Royal Rangers is a ministry for boys that is similar to scouting, with the boys earning merit badges and badges for bible verse memorization; and

WHEREAS, Berlie Hoffstot has served for many years, including serving in positions such as Great Lakes Area Training Coordinator, Chaplain, Outpost Councilman, and as a trainer of leaders; and

WHEREAS, Berlie Hoffstot is also a veteran, serving in the United States Army from 1942 to 1944; and

WHEREAS, Berlie Hoffstot has served as a spiritual mentor, role model, and a good example of what a Christian should be to many young men throughout the years; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Berlie Hoffstot on his many years of dedication and wish him the best in his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Berlie Hoffstot as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
