HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of William R. McGrath, an officer with twenty-eight years of service within the Chicago Police Department; and

WHEREAS, William R. McGrath was born on January 24, 1935 and departed this life on September 3, 2007; and

WHEREAS, William McGrath was the beloved husband of Mary Jane nee O'Connor; he was the loving father of William R. McGrath, Jr., Mary Susan (Kenneth) Wojcik, Michael (Donna), Kathleen (Thomas) Platt, Daniel, James (Yvonne) and the late Julie; he was the dearest grandfather of Eric and Kevin Wojcik, Katie, Leni, and Tina McGrath, Jenna, Michael, and Jaclyn McGrath, Gregory, Timothy, and John Platt, Ian and Ronan McGrath, and Nicole and Samantha McGrath; and he was the loving brother of Mary Ellen (Kenneth) Lancaster and Patricia (John) Kelley; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of William R. McGrath; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of William R. McGrath as a symbol of our sympathy.
