HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Ruth E. Donnewald, nee Holtgrave, of Breese who passed away on August 18, 2007; and

WHEREAS, Ruth Donnewald was born June 18, 1928, in Breese, to Alvin and Lenore Bingham Holtgrave; they preceded her in death; and

WHEREAS, Ruth Donnewald married former State treasurer and State Senator James H. Donnewald on June 24, 1953, in St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese; and

WHEREAS, Ruth Donnewald was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Carolyn Fredenberg; a sister-in-law, Shirley Holtgrave; and brothers-in-law, Freemont "Slugger" Wobbe, Jerry Farrell, Alan Christinsin, Larry Brauch and Peter Fredenberg; and

WHEREAS, Mrs. Donnewald was a homemaker and a member of St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese; and

WHEREAS, Ruth Donnewald is survived by her husband, James; her children, Eric (Pam) Donnewald, Craig (Theresa) Donnewald, and Jill (Ken) Kailin; her grandchildren, Katie and Steven Donnewald and Mitchell, Jenna and Elise Kailin; her brother, Ray (Angie) Holtgrave; and her sisters, Martha Wobbe, Rita Christinsin, Elizabeth "Bess" Brauch, and Mary Margaret "MaGee" Farrell; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with her family and friends, the passing of Ruth Donnewald; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ruth Donnewald as a symbol of our sympathy.
