HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Gary Bretthauer, Kendall County Extension Educator, on his retirement from the University of Illinois Extension in August of 2007; and

WHEREAS, Gary Bretthauer has been with the Kendall County Extension since January of 1993; he specializes in the areas of field crop production and integrated pest management; and

WHEREAS, Gary Bretthauer grew up in Kendall County; he attended Blackburn College in Carlinville before transferring to Iowa State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in general agriculture; he earned a Master of Science degree in agricultural economics from the University of Illinois and served as the graduate assistant for the University of Illinois Trust Farms; and

WHEREAS, Gary Bretthauer spent ten years as a farm manager in DeKalb before returning to Kendall County; in addition to serving as the County Extension Educator, he also operates a small grain farm; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Gary Bretthauer on his retirement and wish him continued success in his future endeavors; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Gary Bretthauer as a symbol of our respect and esteem.
