HOUSE RESOLUTION

 
2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives of the State of Illinois are pleased to
4 congratulate Dr. William F. Beach on the occasion of his
5 retirement; and
 
6     WHEREAS, Dr. Beach had served for six years as the seventh
7 Superintendent of Limestone Community High School when he chose
8 to retire; and
 
9     WHEREAS, Dr. Beach has given 30 years of service to his
10 community, starting his career at Limestone as a science
11 teacher and assistant football coach, and later becoming head
12 coach; and
 
13     WHEREAS, During his tenure as Varsity Football Coach, Dr.
14 Beach oversaw eight teams with winning records, four with state
15 playoff births and two with conference championships; he was
16 elected president of the Illinois High School Football Coaches
17 Association in 1990; and
 
18     WHEREAS, Dr. Beach took on technology development and
19 instruction in the classroom; he assisted in mapping out and
20 designing the entire computer network that was, and still is
21 considered, a state of the art high school for computer

1 technology; and
 
2     WHEREAS, Dr. Beach was appointed the first principal of
3 Limestone Community High School after only five years as an
4 administrator in the Dean's office, a position he held for nine
5 years before receiving his Superintendent's Endorsement from
6 Western Illinois University; and
 
7     WHEREAS, Dr. Beach plans on spending time in his retirement
8 with his family and his wife, Sue; therefore, be it
 
9     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
10 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
11 congratulate Dr. William F. Beach on the occasion of his
12 retirement and we thank him for his many years of service
13 educating the children of the Bartonville area; and be it
14 further
 
15     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
16 presented to Dr. Beach as an expression of our esteem and with
17 best wishes for a relaxing retirement.
