1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, Education is the key to a child's future; and

3     WHEREAS, Those children with greater opportunities are
4 able to lead brighter and more successful futures; and

5     WHEREAS, Due to education funding inadequacies across the
6 state of Illinois and due to the wide range of opinions and
7 issues surrounding education funding, a special session of the
8 General Assembly concentrating only on education should be
9 held; therefore, be it

10     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
11 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
12 urge the Governor to call a special session of the General
13 Assembly concentrating only on education; and be it further

14     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15 delivered to the Governor.
