1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to honor Police Chief Rick Perry of
4 the Flora Police Department as he retires on July 1, 2007; and

5     WHEREAS, Chief Perry has served the people of Flora for 25
6 years; and

7     WHEREAS, Chief Perry is proud of the department, and in its
8 fight against crime and drugs in the community; and

9     WHEREAS, Chief Perry served in the United States Army for
10 six years and the Clay County Sheriff's Department for four
11 years; and

12     WHEREAS, Chief Perry is supported by his wife, Carolyn; his
13 children, Jason and Staci; his son-in-law, Phil Bute; his
14 grandchildren, Hannah and Emma Bute and Samantha "Sammi" Perry;
15 and his mother, Blanche Perry; and

16     WHEREAS, The community of Flora has been brought into
17 greater contact with the police department through the efforts
18 of Chief Perry and will miss his leadership; therefore, be it

19     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE

1 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
2 congratulate Police Chief Rick Perry on his retirement and wish
3 him the best in his future endeavors; and be it further

4     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5 presented to Police Chief Rick Perry as a symbol of our respect
6 and admiration.
