| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The Illinois Tourism Industry is a major component | | 3 |
| of the Illinois economy and a vital aspect of employment in | | 4 |
| many areas of the State of Illinois; and
| | 5 |
| WHEREAS, Illinois historic attractions throughout the | | 6 |
| State brings tourists from around the world to Illinois cities, | | 7 |
| towns and villages;
and
| | 8 |
| WHEREAS, Tourism brings visitors to the State of Illinois, | | 9 |
| generating money, jobs, and tax revenue for both State and | | 10 |
| local government; and
| | 11 |
| WHEREAS, WSEC Public Television produces a program series | | 12 |
| entitled Illinois Stories which highlights places of interest | | 13 |
| throughout Central Illinois; and
| | 14 |
| WHEREAS, Illinois Stories produced and aired a program on | | 15 |
| the Historic Pasfield House, located just west of the Illinois | | 16 |
| State Capitol Building in Springfield; and
| | 17 |
| WHEREAS, The WSEC public television production about the | | 18 |
| Pasfield House received viewer acclaim and was chosen by WSEC | | 19 |
| for re-airing in a recent fund raising drive;
therefore, be it

| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | | 2 |
| NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | | 3 |
| recognize the Pasfield House in Springfield as an Illinois | | 4 |
| Historic Site; and be it further

| RESOLVED, That the Illinois General Assembly House | | 6 |
| Committee on Tourism members, State Representatives Kenneth | | 7 |
| Dunkin, Sara Feigenholtz, Suzanne Bassi, Maria Antonia | | 8 |
| Berrios, Greg Harris, David R. Leitch, Jack McGuire, Jerry L. | | 9 |
| Mitchell, and Sandra M. Pihos congratulate the Historic | | 10 |
| Pasfield House owner Tony Leone for being selected as one of | | 11 |
| the many Illinois Stories that brings interest in Illinois | | 12 |
| tourism; and
be it further

| RESOLVED, That the House Tourism Committee encourages | | 14 |
| Pasfield House owner Tony Leone to continue in his efforts to | | 15 |
| promote tourism in Illinois and the City of Springfield; and be | | 16 |
| it further
| | 17 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | | 18 |
| presented to Pasfield House owner Tony Leone as a symbol of our | | 19 |
| esteem.
