HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to honor the Routt Catholic High School Girls Basketball Team on an outstanding season; and

WHEREAS, The team from Routt Catholic High School was the outstanding Class A basketball team in the Jacksonville area throughout the 2006-2007 basketball season; and

WHEREAS, Their incredible season culminated in a third place finish at the Girls Illinois High School Association Class A State Tournament at the Redbird Arena at Illinois State University the weekend of February 23-24, 2007; and

WHEREAS, The Lady Rockets represented their school and the community of Jacksonville in an exemplary manner, deserving of recognition; and

WHEREAS, Members of this fine team include Katie Lindsey, Jaclyn Meado, Megan Martin, Melissa Nichols, Morgan Eilering, Liz Standley, Haley Leefers, April Little, Samantha Humgartner, Brittany Zenge, and Lauren Gregory; and

WHEREAS, The Lady Rockets were coached by Bruce Martin and Joe Eilering, and finished the season with an outstanding record of 26-7; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Lady Rockets Basketball Team from Routt Catholic High School on an incredible season; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Lady Rockets Basketball Team from Routt Catholic High School.
