| HOUSE RESOLUTION

| WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of | 3 |
| Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of
F.D. | 4 |
| "Lee" Conlon of Williams Bay, Wisconsin, who passed away on | 5 |
| October 22, 2008; and
| 6 |
| WHEREAS, F.D. Conlon was born on May 17, 1921 in Chicago; | 7 |
| in 1949, he married Betty Klima; together, they raised their | 8 |
| family in Park Forest; and
| 9 |
| WHEREAS, F.D. Conlon served with the Cook County Highway | 10 |
| Department for 11 years, retiring in 1987; he was also a former | 11 |
| Chicago advertising salesman and served as a Rich Township | 12 |
| Democratic committeeman from 1982 until 1987, when his son, | 13 |
| Kevin, succeeded him; and
| 14 |
| WHEREAS, After his retirement in 1989, F.D. Conlon and his | 15 |
| wife traveled extensively to locations in Europe, Africa, | 16 |
| Australia, New Zealand, the Fiji Islands, Canada, and Hawaii; | 17 |
| he also developed his talent as a painter of wildlife and | 18 |
| landscapes in the Lake Geneva area where he and his wife lived; | 19 |
| and
| 20 |
| WHEREAS, F.D. Conlon was an intense reader who would put | 21 |
| together packages of clippings and copies of stories involving |

| politics, current events, literature, and the arts that might | 2 |
| interest his children; and
| 3 |
| WHEREAS, F.D. Conlon is survived by his wife; his | 4 |
| daughters; Patricia Grosso and Cathy Conlon; his sons, Kevin, | 5 |
| Michael, and Thomas; and his 10 grandchildren; therefore, be it
| 6 |
| RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE | 7 |
| NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we | 8 |
| mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of F.D. | 9 |
| "Lee" Conlon; and be it further
| 10 |
| RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 |
| presented to the family of F.D. Conlon as an expression of our | 12 |
| sympathy.
