1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of the
4 13-year-old baseball team of the Babe Ruth League in Lansing on
5 the occasion of proceeding to the Ohio Valley regional
6 championship; and

7     WHEREAS, After emerging victorious from the Illinois State
8 tournament, the Lansing Babe Ruth 13-year-old team will proceed
9 to the Ohio Valley regional championship in Dodgeville,
10 Wisconsin; and

11     WHEREAS, The Lansing Babe Ruth 13-year-old team hasn't
12 played in the postseason since 1987, an indication of the 2008
13 team's great skill and dedication; and

14     WHEREAS, The members of the Lansing Babe Ruth 13-year-old
15 team serve as models of hard work, integrity, and dedication
16 for the people of the State of Illinois; therefore, be it

17     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
19 congratulate the members of the 13-year-old baseball team of
20 the Babe Ruth League in Lansing on the occasion of proceeding
21 to the Ohio Valley regional championship and wish them

1 continued success in the future; and be it further

2     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
3 presented to the Lansing Babe Ruth 13-year-old team as a symbol
4 of our esteem and respect.
