1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate the members of
4 Group 819 Polish Women's Alliance on the occasion of the
5 group's 20th anniversary; and

6     WHEREAS, The first meeting of the Group 819 Polish Women's
7 Alliance was held on January 21, 1989 after a one year member
8 recruitment drive; since their first meeting, the group have
9 put together many successful events and have increased their
10 membership to over 200 members; and

11     WHEREAS, The Group 819 Polish Women's Alliance will
12 celebrate their 20th anniversary with an event at the White
13 Eagle and mass at St. Eugene on September 21, 2008; and

14     WHEREAS, The Group 819 Polish Women's Alliance takes great
15 pride in their Polish heritage and are looking forward to the
16 future; therefore, be it

17     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
19 congratulate the members of Group 819 Polish Women's Alliance
20 on the occasion of the group's 20th anniversary and wish them
21 continued success and happiness in the future; and be it

2     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
3 presented to Group 819 Polish Women's Alliance President
4 Marlene Gill as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
