HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Gary Joseph Sheldon of Aurora, who passed away on August 22, 2008; and

WHEREAS, He was born on January 15, 1943 in Warren, Ohio, the son of Joseph and Jane Sheldon; and

WHEREAS, He was an United States Army veteran, serving in the Vietnam War; he was a lifetime member and officer of the Waidley V.F.W. Post 468 in Aurora; and

WHEREAS, He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Sheldon; his step-father, Harold Nelson; and his wife, Suzette Sheldon; and

WHEREAS, Gary Sheldon is survived by his mother, Jane Nelson; his children, Gary Jr., Brian, Lisa, and Andre; his siblings, Eugene (Sally) Sheldon, Dennis (Jean) Sheldon, and James Sheldon; his grandchildren; and his nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Gary Sheldon; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Gary Sheldon as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
