1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate the men and women
4 who have worked to open the Easter Seals Center for Autism in
5 Maryville; and

6     WHEREAS, The Grand Opening will be held on August 21, 2008;
7 and

8     WHEREAS, Easter Seals has served children and adults with
9 disabilities for over 80 years; and

10     WHEREAS, Autism affects 1 in every 150 children; and

11     WHEREAS, Easter Seals is expanding services for
12 individuals living with autism in southwestern Illinois with
13 the opening of the Center; and

14     WHEREAS, Easter Seals and everyone involved with the
15 opening of the Center is to be commended for their dedication
16 to helping others; therefore, be it

17     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
18 NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we
19 congratulate the men and women who have worked to open the

1 Easter Seals Center for Autism in Maryville; and be it further

2     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
3 presented to a representative of the Easter Seals Center for
4 Autism at their Grand Opening on August 21, 2008.
