HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate the Kendall County Republican Central Committee and their "Take A Veteran to Dinner" event to be held on July 11, 2008; and

WHEREAS, The dinner will take place at Ralph's Place at Blackberry Oaks Golf Course; proceeds from the event will be used to purchase an "Honor Flight" to Washington, D.C. for World War II veterans to see the World War II Memorial at the National Mall; and

WHEREAS, Bill Niemi of Ralph's Place began with the idea to offer complimentary meals to service men and women in uniform; the Kendall County Republican Central Committee decided to make an event where people could take a veteran to dinner, charging a fee to cover both the purchaser and the guest; and

WHEREAS, Guest speakers and entertainment will round out the evening's events as four hundred veterans attend this dinner in their honor; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Bill Niemi and the Kendall County Republican Central Committee and their "Take A Veteran to Dinner" event; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Kendall County Republican Central Committee and to Bill Niemi of Ralph's Place as a symbol of our respect.
