HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are saddened to learn of the death of Carl Anthony Traylor of Robbins, who passed away on January 5, 2008; and

WHEREAS, He was born on March 27, 1963 to Ivory Jr. and Louie Rebecca Traylor; he professed a hope in Christ at an early age and was baptized and became a member of Great Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Robbins; he served the church as a member of the Usher Board for several years; and

WHEREAS, He attended Harold L. Richard High School in Oak Lawn and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Boston College; he served as a collection manager for several financial institutions; in October of 2007 he was employed by Roberto Clemente Community Academy as the Attendance Director and coach of the boys wrestling team; and

WHEREAS, He enjoyed food, laughter, his family and friends; his greatest joy was his daughter, Kaylin; and

WHEREAS, Carl Traylor is survived by his parents, Ivory Jr. and Louie Rebecca Traylor; his daughter, Kaylin Strahan and her mother, Laticia Strahan; his sisters, Loresse Traylor and Kimberly McKinney (Bobbie, Jr.); his brothers, Terrell Traylor (Barbara), Steve Traylor, Kenneth Traylor (Karen), and Darrow Traylor (Lawanda); his many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn, along with his family and friends, the passing of Carl Anthony Traylor; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Carl Anthony Traylor as a symbol of our sincere sympathy.
