HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The Finley Family will be holding their annual reunion on July 4 and July 5, 2008, in Aurora; and

WHEREAS, The Finley Family originated in Holly Springs, Missouri and are the descendants of Bill and Emma Finley; and

WHEREAS, The Finley Family theme is from Isaiah 54:17 which states: "No weapons that are formed against thee shall prosper"; and

WHEREAS, The family members attending the reunion are Mr. Bill Finley, Mr. Berry Finley, Mr. Brodie Finley, Mr. Joseph Finley Sr., Mr. Isaac Finley, Mr. Oliver Finley Sr., Mr. Bullet Finley, Mr. Charlie Finley Sr., Mr. Jab Finley Sr., Mr. Ivory Street, Mr. Scott Street Jr., Mr. John Wesley Street, Mr. Johnnie Finley Sr., Mr. Harvey Finley Sr., Mr. Asberry Finley, Mr. Douglas Porter Jr., Mr. Novertis Porter, Mr. Troy Porter, Mr. Roger Porter, Mr. William Porter, Mr. Rivers Porter, Mr. Albert Porter, Ms. Emma Finley, Ms. Carrie Finley Faulkner, Ms. Mary Street, Ms. Julie Danielle Finley Jones, Ms. Geenie Finley Porter Johnson, Ms. Pearlie Faulkner, Ms. Sally Echols, Ms. Marylena Echols, Ms. Sweetie B. RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-FIFTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate the Finley Family and wish them all a great weekend and family gathering; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the Finley Family as a symbol of our respect.
